Mark Snelling

Welcome, Mark Snelling!
Mark Snelling became the third President of the Snelling Center on July 1 as a volunteer. His first days were busy as the Center moved to Shelburne in the middle of July. Mark was one of the original Trustees and is familiar with the Center's work over the years and fits right in to our busy program.

Announcing the VLI Class of 2010
The Vermont Leadership Institute class of 2009-10 consists of 26 associates from all over Vermont, who have begun their year-long journey together. They met at the opening session September 24-25. For a list of the class members, click here.

New VLI Director Settling In
Judy Warriner Walke began her new role in July, and is actively working with faculty -- many of them alums -- to plan memorable learning experiences for associates during the upcoming year. "I love hearing from the VLI community," she says. Contact her (judy@snellingcenter.org) and check out the VLI10 schedule.

VSLP's First Session
The Vermont School Leadership Project class began its learning this summer at Lake Morey Inn. With the help of consultants Michele Vitti, Mark Furnari, Peter Cole and the VSLP faculty, they examined the question “Who am I as a Leader?” Click here to view the class list.

The Snelling Center in a New Space
The second week in July marked our move to new offices in Shelburne. We are still sorting out a few boxes, but most things have found their place. We have plenty of room and invite people to stop in and say hi when they are in the neighborhood.

VLI Alumni Contribute in Many Ways...
Kathy Soulia (VLI '04), of the Burlington Free Press, and Ron Redmond (VLI '03), of Church Street Marketplace, paddle their pumpkins in the Second Annual Giant Pumpkin Regatta held at Burlington's Waterfront Park on October 11th. This was a fundraiser for PILOT, a youth leadership program.

Support
The Snelling Center runs the Vermont Leadership Institute and the Vermont School Leadership Project. We are also continuing public policy work through facilitation projects and statewide broadband initiatives. We appreciate your past support. Please consider a donation to the Snelling Center at this time.
