Vermont Council on Culture and Innovation

17 VCCI Recommendations

The Vermont Council on Culture and Innovation (VCCI) has been assigned with the task of exploring Vermont's creative economy.  Through this exploration they have come up with 17 recommendations to help promote the creative economy in Vermont.. The recommendations have been divided into four categories of improvement:

I.     Support the Growth of Creative Enterprises,

II. Promote and Document the Roles that Creativity, Culture, and Innovation Play in Vermont's Economic Future

III.    Invest in Communities so They May Build on their Past while Adapting for a Vibrant Future

IV. Develop Vermont’s Creative Economy through Community-Based Planning and Improved Statewide Collaboration.

The VCCI has further divided these categories into 17 sub-categories outlined to the right.   They explore the intricacies of the creative economy and provide suggestions for future growth.  These 17 sub-categories have been linked to practices currently taking place in four states: Iowa, Montana, Maine, and Rhode Island.  We hope this site is a useful tool in the exploration of the creative economy.
