grants provided through IDED specifically Revitalization Assistance for
Community Improvement which
promotes revitalization of communities to secure a viable culture. |
| • | The state of Iowa provides property tax abatement, an income tax credit of up to 25%, and it grants tax exemption to 3-10 projects per year. |
| • | The Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission is the state agency for historical preservation and heritage programs. |

| • | the program goal is to strengthen local cultural resources to communities, strengthen cultural education in Maine’s schools, and provide preservation grants to restore and protect historic landmarks |

| • | $100,000 allocation to these communities will support efforts to revamp historic and cultural services and facilities in these towns |
